Bounce house rentals grow in popularity – so does the number of kids injured in them

As this video from Channel 5 in West Palm Beach, Florida reports, growing along-side Florida bounce house popularity – is the number of kids being injured in them.

One child is injured every 45 minutes in the United States while playing in a bounce house – that’s more than 30 children a day! Most are children 5-years old or younger with minor injuries like bumps and bruises to more serious injuries like broken bones, even concussions.

Although experts in safety will recommend only allowing one child to play in an inflatable bouncer at a time, the instructions on most units allow for multiple kids to play, but advise that the children should be of similar sizes, at least 6 years old, and should always have adult supervision.
